Hong Zou

Hong received her undergraduate degree in product design from Southeast University (China). She then pursued her first master's degree in product design at the Accademia di Brera in Milan. From 2021-2022 she worked as a user experience designer and was involved in the design of the first AR museum touring system in China. She is now a Master’s student at Concordia University with research interests in the integration of gamification and user experience design. She works on the user psychology to combine gamification elements with user experience to provide an improved multi-sensory experience for users.

Statement

In this project, I design a CBT app for females with mild to moderate anxiety and depression using a female-centered design approach, applying gamification mechanisms into the user experience design process to increase user engagement and adherence. The aim of the research is to identify effective gamification mechanisms that can enhance female users’ engagement and compliance with digital CBT, with a view to improving the overall effectiveness of psychotherapy services for female patients.
