Niloufar Karimi

Niloufar Karimi is a multidisciplinary designer based in Montreal, creating immersive experiences that translate stories into tactile and spatial forms. Her practice brings together material exploration, pattern-making, and visual storytelling, often using paper weaving and textile-inspired structures. She works through collecting "traces" such as images, notes, texts, and other fragments, then experimenting with how they can become textures, layered surfaces, and installations. Through these layered environments, she explores questions of care,
connection, and how design can create space for reflection, emotion, and shared meaning.
